Chimney Flashing
Flashing is the last line of defense against leaks, as it directs water away from valleys, chimneys, vent stacks, skylights, and where the dormers and other walls meet the roof. Typical applications include chimney flashing, valley flashing on tile, wood shake, or slate roofs, as base, step and counter flashing at roof to sidewall intersections, or unexposed or concealed ridge and hip flashing. Chimney Caps
The chimney cap is the roof of your chimney. A good chimney cap serves as an effective barrier to much more than just rain, snow, and leaves; it keeps out birds, bats, raccoons, squirrels, and other uninvited guests from entering your chimney and fireplace. It is very important to keep the chimney cap free of cracks and holes, as it will allow copious amounts of water into the inner hidden layers of the chimney and into the home.
